Heyo,

So currently i'm in this development of a game on my own, it's in its very early baby diapers however i'm just asking this to later fall back upon.

Currently my game uses either stolen or very basic 1-color sprites.

What would be the best way to get sprites, either by creating them myself or via other ways, that do not cost me any money yet give me the desired end-look result.

Just for reference, what i have now:
Please do note that i use stolen sprites purely for testing purposes.

You could look at sites like opengameart, like IndianaBones has said, but if you want to get better at pixel art, you gotta start making your own sprites. Look up similar sprites using Google Images, and look at how others are doing it; learn from their style. The sprites you end up making might not look good, but that's the only way you'll get better. :)
