Steam Friends, servers, joining and inviting?

Hey everyone,

I've searched but found very little. How can I retrieve things like online friends in GM:S from Steam? Can I invite them? Can I join them?

There's nothing in the documentation and also nothing on the forums.

Is this not implemented? If so, when is this going to be implemented? Because its a lovely steam feature and semi-essential to a multiplayer game.
