Question - IDE Frame Rate Issue/Question



I'm seeing a peculiar frame rate issue with Game Maker 2.

When I set the frame rate to 60 I see mixed frame rate results. Most of the time it sits around ~45 frames a second. However, when I bump the frame rate up to say 120 frames a second it runs at a perfect 60 frames a second.

Is there something I'm missing about this setting? Setting the target frame rate higher than 60 frames seems to solve the problem but it's a little unsettling.

Have you tried setting the Sleep Margin to 10??? This should make things better.

We are going to be setting that as the default going forward.



Do you use more than one view at the same time?
I use GM8 so i don't know if the priorities exist in GMS, if it's the case, did you try
the highest priority level for your app?
