This was previously centered properly in GMS 1.4.

Upon switching to GMS 2, I noticed all the text is like this. I've double checked everything on my end.

I've recently fixed some issues to do with fonts in GMS2 (coming next update). They were improperly aligned causing visual differences in comparison with GMS1 and the line height was wrong. You are likely seeing both of these in play here. I also fixed a bug that caused all fonts to look terrible in-game.

Wait for the next update and see if that fixes it.
