Windows Failed to Load Image/could not open file.

I started a new project and am starting to have a problem with all of my projects.

The starting room (or title screen) is supposed to look like this:

But instead, when I run the game for testing, it tells me this:

And then proceeds to show this screen:

I'm not really sure what to do about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try disabling your anti-virus then running and if that resolves the issue you'll need to whitelist GM (as I've seen similar issues with the AV blocking GM access to files).
