Drawing perfect text?

I'm working on a text-based game but I noticed GMS is pretty bad with text? Some letters appear janky and faded, not what I was hoping for..

Yes, fonts are Bitmap-converted, so there's no lossless scaling, unfortunately. However, you can try to use large fonts and make them smaller, then use some filter (like FXAA, or even linear interpolation even) so that the font doesn't have too many visual artifacts.
Anyway, you can still set font anti-aliasing in the IDE.
