Ragarnak already solved your question, just use

draw_text(x, y, "Text Here");
just wanted to let you know that if you are using an integer value instead of a string value to specify its a string by doing:

string(global.strength)
making the finaly code look something like:

draw_text(x, y, string(global.strength);
