Android detecting virtual android device complains about authorisation?

im running AVD and have a virtual nexus device set up and running. its logged into my google account and updated everything so i dont know what gamemaker studio 2 means by "the device with serial id: emulator-5554 requires authorisation. please check the device" every time i try to add it to the list of devices in the device editor. also even though it says this it still adds an entry in the list with display and host names both "emulator-5554" which fails upon pressing the 'test connection' button with the message "connection to emulator-5554 Failed"

im at a loss here. i cant test my game through this virtual device even though ive followed the guides to the letter. and i cant test it on my android device because it fails with different errors than these here. i hope someone can help me.
