Android Detect orientation of the device on runtime in Android

Hello everyone!

I am developing a game for Android in which I want to change the mechanics of the game depending of how the user is holding the phone, so if it is in landscape orientation will have some rules and if he holds it upside down in a landscape-flipped orientation it would have others. Is it possible to achieve this result with gamemaker?

*EDIT*

The thing is that I have been trying to detect the correct orientation of the Android device I am using but I keep getting the same orientation, always.

Looking here I have seen that it is still a bug - I was wondering if somebody found a workaround :(
