Summary:
GameMaker Studio 2 comes with an advanced room editor. But, sometimes you might want to design puzzle, maze, or roguelike levels in something a bit more simple. I showcase how - and why - to design levels using a text editor like Notepad, Sublime, or Atom.

Nice idea!
I always design my levels on excel and them "import" them into the game by using excel formulas to generate a data structure for me. Then I use some script to load it when necessary.
I liked your idea an I'll give it a try!
