3D Depth Order and Projection

Hello Game Creators.

I have come across something which I have trouble figuring out. (edit: In GMS2)

Here is what I need to solve:
I would like to render a Background orthographic which is static just like in this very popular example:

I have got the 3D projection figured out and what the depth of my Model-Objects need to be... but I don't know what the rendering order / Set-Up needs to be in order for having the background being rendered like that.

It currently looks like that:
- Camera Object 9000 (3d projection)
- Models between 500 - 5000

- but where and how do deal with the background object?

I appreciate your expert input.
Cheers!
