Delay + white screen when swapping from windowed to full screen

I've noticed since the latest windows 10 update that when I change from windowed mode to full screen (in game) there is now a short delay where a full-screen-sized white window is visible for maybe 0.5 secs before correctly entering full screen mode. This is in gm 1.4 un so I guess there is nothing to be done - but has anyone else noticed this? Not a game breaker, but gives the impression it's about to crash.

Try going into Settings app (WIN + I keyboard keys) -> System -> Focus Assist. On the right pane, scroll down and move the toggle button for the option "When I'm Playing a game."*

That solves it. Ok so the April Win 10 update, by enabling focus assist - causes full screen/window toggle to have an uneeded white screen freeze? Any idea if this affects games outside GM? Not a great feature if you ask me.

Makes League of Legends slow when Alt-Tabbing. That's how I heard of it.
