It's a good start. What about adding some kind of variety. Maybe some monsters you have to jump over or some different attacks like holding the A button or maybe double tap to perform.

A boss at the end of the wave would also be awesome, where you have to dodge attacks and learn the boss's pattern in order to beat it. I don't know what you had planned and maybe it's way outside the scope of the game.

You've got the basis for a good game imo. On its own, as it is now, I can see people becoming bored fast but with a few more mechanics it could become popular!
