Reach a hybrid game of speed and fighting with a level of RPG components. All in a platform where you have to master all the elements from the stage to win. Use energy cores to unlock or exchange skills, up to you which suits best at gameplay. Mix and craft your own style, create dynamism as you build your character through every scenario, every enemy counts!

Thanks peeps! I'm glad to release a debug version today, for the people who likes to mess with the mechanics ;)

I had no idea what was going on in Build 0C so I played Build 02 instead.

Not the most intuitive controls, but it's fun once I got used to the mechanics.

What threw me off is the double jump being a backflip. I kept accidentally jumping into spikes and bottomless pits. I liked the ability, but I recommend using a different key for it. Something like F to flip left and S to flip right. Also, I recommend only activating the hook if I'm facing it, so I don't go flying backwards unexpectedly.

It's a decent start, once you have some actual levels I think it'll be a blast to play.

The first stage will introduce you to the controls :p
Too many people complained about the backflip for the same reason. That's why I made a menu, so you can decide to use it or not.

About the hook, I'm gonna take a loot at that.

  • Health has been extended by 56! (7 Sub, 8 Main)
  • Auto-Pause: Pause menu now detects when the game is not being on use.
Main menu:
  • Controls are now customizable!
  • All sounds can be disabled
  • You can switch to fullscreen or window too!
Bug Fix:
  • The player can move on a energy vine after using the hookjump.
  • Invincibility after damage for few secs.
  • Death after touching the void

Other:
  • Character does an extra shoot after being damaged.
  • Elevator fix 80%
  • Useless charge button removed
  • Animated flames.
  • Main menu doesnt work with gamepad
  • Overspeed locking sliding after ladder

Open chests with the action button and recieve a reward!

Now you can slide below blocks and run without limits.

The gameplay speed has been accelerated!
Let's hope you enjoy the progress so far!

Small bugs were fixed in the process and now everything should run much better.

Thanks! Next goal is a mecha that is in progress. some missiles and lasers are planned, and who knows, maybe more!

I just played your game and it was AWESOME! (I feel it's easier than I Wanna Be The Guy Gaiden, until the boss, and when you get the controls down) But I did find a bug in the current version with the humanoid boss. Basically, at one point the boss put me in a damaging loop that I couldn't escape so I had to sit there watching me bouncing on his uppercut until I died. SO, that is something you should look into. Other than that it's a pretty fun game and I hope that you continue working, improving, and refining this cool game you have here!

Jumping up the wall at the beginning was really frustrating. It would be fun to on the same wall constantly like Meat Boy.

It took me a while to find out I could climb the tree. You can only climb some trees and it confuses me. Maybe make them different colours.

It moves nice and fast.

Added a new ground and aerial enemy.
Added sword, whip and uppercut.

Updated main menu.
Updated skill menu.
Added effects to lasers

Changed jump, sword and walking animations.

Updated visual buttons.

Updated with OST.

After five minutes, I couldn't figure out how to climb up he first wall. Managed to climb the tree occasionally though :D

Full screen mode gives an entire black screen.

I'm afraid that windows 10 isn't gonna be supported in a while.
It's meant work for XP and 7 only
Odd design choice, considering vSync is the only thing you need to enable, which will also reduce the chance of graphical annomolies on all targets.

XP? Is that still a thing?

yeep, I am a have a thing for supporting old systems.
by the way, I will check if there's something I can do about it.

Even my own games get flagged. How did you get past that?

that's a hard question, I am the only one on the design and programming of the game, plus we have so little enemies to put in scene.

I tried out your game! Impressive amount of work gone into it really. There's a lot of attention to detail and it sure does seem like a true passionate piece of work. Keep going at it because you're doing this for you, and you will make it the best you can. The things you learn from this project will surely carry into your next one, you're only getting better with your hard work.

As far as direct feedback:
- offer different control schemes, not just customizable controls
- make the screen size scalable, I can't really see what's going on
- create easier levels from the beginning, it was too hard right from the start
- I felt like if I was to jump the second tap should dash me, not push me backwards. It can of gives me an awkward juggling feeling.
- The animations feel very stiff an unnatural right now (to me animation is more important than anything else)
- The GUI'S and transitions are lovely
- Transitions overall are very nice and smooth
- The engine you've designed and interactions all seem to be very solid!
- On second glance, you should have options like audio, video, and controls in a section called "options" and not inside of new game. This was easily overlooked
- We should have more options for game audio. I usually mute game music and prefer to hear the sound effects
- Fullscreen mode got a bit crazy on the menu screen but game play was fine
- I couldn't figure out any buttons to go back to the menu screen or any kind of options and that bugged me quite a bit

Now let me say this. Looking pas the difficulties I had while trying to play this, because the start was too difficult and I am not used to the controls, there is a genuinely fun game in here. I can see how once you master the controls that this can become a blast to speed through, but it's basically impossible to really get the controls down when they all kind of cause you to fall off these cliffs. It's like every time I get used to it another thing is causing me to forget. It's just a lot at once. Design the level not to throw everything at the player at once, but to expose each part of the controls safely to the player. That would be very appreciative.

Take these all with a grain of salt and as an insight to improve your game!
