Question - IDE Cannot test project

So it was all working fine until my game wouldn't open when I press play or F5.

It compiles, then just doesn't open a second window. It also gives me this message in the compile window:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe exited with non-zero status (1)

I also tried restarting GMS2 but that didn't do anything..

-EDIT- Found a fix. It turned out I had made an error in the code and instead of it popping up with an error message like older versions, it was hidden in the compiler.

Haven't got an endless loop in your code by any chance? (for / while)
I figured it out. It was an error in my code. Instead of showing an error message like previous GM software, it just didn't open the game.
