Discussion can i use a project in both 1.4 and 2

i like the old 1.4 studio
i also like the new features
does anyone know if i can use both and switch between 2 and 1.4
i know i can import 1.4 project to 2
but does it also work from 2 to 1.4?
since i still do feel more comfortable using 1.4

No, you can't import projects from GMS2 back into GMS1. You could manually copy some things (like code) back and fourth, but that would be annoying.

For that to work, those new features would have to translate cleanly onto 1.4 features (they don't), in which case they would be implemented by the community already. Considering that GMS1 updates will cease next year, it is probably a better idea to just do the game in GMS2.
