I know it can be done in GM2 but for original GM on Windows (version 8.1 I believe?) is it still possible? The gif isn't that long rather 4 or 5 seconds, or perhaps I can import it as an mp4 video?
For clarification, there's a 5 second animated gif I'm trying to add to the start of the project, it's not technically a spriteAdded to what, and how? As a resource via import? A sprite at runtime via sprite_add?
Either way, the import dialog or documentation of the function you're trying to use include this information.
