Bullet Inferno is a game where a small, relatively pathetic spaceship takes on eight different bosses that are much more capable to defeat an evil doctor!

BIG OL' UPDATE!!!!
You can now play with the WASD keys and the SPACE bar to defeat the first boss!
You can also tweak how loud/quiet the audio is.

The demo is going to be getting a quality of life update that adds a lot to help the player assess the situation they're in at different health marks.

Criticisms are greatly appreciated, and if you're on discord one of the channels in my server is dedicated to feedback. You can look there to check out what has already been pointed out and what's getting changed about the game as a result.


Made an update for my bullet hell's demo, really proud of the extra progress/juice I poured into it! More updates will be made to make some presentation things look a lil nicer, but i think this is pretty solid. The full game will feature 8 unique bosses with unique attack patterns

Hey I gave the game a shot(or bullet, if you wanna hear a pun)
Here's what I found:
Grammar:
-I
n the controls menu, it says "Got to windowed..." and "Got to fullscreen...". Just a couple extra T's that need to be removed.

Nitpicky stuff:
-
When you leave the controls menu, it should return you to the main menu, and have controls selected, it'll feel more consistent in my opinion.
-Have it so when you're selecting a boss, you can hit down and up on the arrows to go down a row. Currently it feels strange not being able to go down a square even though it looks totally possible.
-You may want a little beep sound if you can't play a selected boss. Currently there's no player feedback whatsoever if you try to play one of 7 bosses that aren't in.
-Allow the player to exit out of Boss Select with the Escape Key. If I was able to leave the Controls Menu with Esc, I should be able to leave Boss Select with Esc.

Suggestions:
-Maybe an option for the mouse? Controller support? These different control options would be great, and allow for a wider range of audience to be more comfortable while playing it. (For example, the keyboard on my laptop doesn't allow me to hold Z and move diagonal, it's a real pain, and while this is entirely the players fault, the players wouldn't want to grab a new keyboard just to give your game a try, ya know?)
-How about a health bar, for the boss? When I'm shooting a bunch of bullets, I'm not sure how far I'm actually getting.
-Have some option to dim music down, or just all the way. And for the sfx volume as well. While the boss music was nice, I felt tired of it after a few matches.
-Have some visual notice when you're really low on health. The game's a little too hectic for me to consistently check my healthbar.

Aside from that, I did really like the game and what I've seen so far. The menu music was awesome in my opinion, keep it up, I'm looking forward to the future development of it!

Thanks man! I've dumped a few weeks into this game and it's development is far from over, I love the criticisms you've made and I'm currently addressing them and going over it in the discord
