Summary
Sometimes creating a "follow" camera can be pretty jaring because it is moving every time our player is moving. In this video tutorial we can creating some bounding box so that if our character is inside this box, the camera will stay still.

From the image in your post this seems to be to be same feature as "Horizontal/Vertical Border" under view settings in room, and the only difference is that it checks for sprite edges instead of origin?

Yes you could use the "follow target" found in the room view, but this will give you a lot more control on how it follows your object and the boundaries.
