Boulderdash was released in 1984 By First Class Software.
This is a remaker of that game.

Back in the 1980's, a variation of boulderdash was one of the first games I made (I use the term 'made' loosely, I actually copied a few hundred lines of code from the back of Spectrum 48K (Crash?) magazine.
That was 30 odd years ago.
I thought a remake in GameMaker: Studio would take 2, maybe 3 hours. I spent almost 6 hours working on this game and I'm NOT happy with the outcome. I got the basic engine down OK, but the enemy's movement is poor and needs some major work.
Game Play
The aim of the game is to collect all the minerals in each level. But you need to be careful - if a block falls on top of you, you'll have to restart the level. You'll need to watch out for the enemy on certain levels. You control your player using the arrow keys to move in that direction. You can also push single blocks left and right if there is a free space.
