Don't know if I'm the first to admit it but this dark gray color scheme has been contributing to my depression.
I'm not ashamed to admit my ideal color scheme of this forum would be a light pink with a bunch of sunshine rainbows and glitter everywhere. I want to make these forums fabulous.

These forums need to look more like an acid trip and less like a trip to the morgue.

Personally I think the dark theme is great. The text has good contrast and the theme is overall easy on the eyes even in low light.

There is a light theme also, you could try that.

Alternatively if you want to do some crazy things there are plugins available for most browsers that will allow you to add your own custom CSS to websites.
