Question - IDE Audio groups greyed out

Hi, I've come across a strange but annoying problem.
I'm trying to sort my sounds into audio groups, but every time I click on the "sound group mixer" in the viewer of the sound file, it is taken out of the audio groups and not able to be added again. The drop down tab on the sound becomes greyed out and it has returned to be in the default audio group. I also cannot add it again through the audio group editor. If I "add resource" there, the certain file will not show up.

This has been the case months ago and I had given up on audio groups. Now I wanted to come back to it but the same problem has popped up again.
Any ideas are helpful. Otherwise: should I report this as a bug?

Have you tried reinstalling gamemaker? I just tested to check and with blank project the drop down works even though that is the only option I have. Otherwise, you might need to open a ticket.

I have not tried that because it would mean quite some hassle for me. But the problem also occurs the same way on my partner's mac, so I didn't think reinstalling would make a difference if it happens on two different computers.

I think its because you chose the compressed -streamed option. Its graying that out for me too on GMS 2.3.1. Try a different Attribute type
