Animating sprites

Does anyone know how to animate sprites or does anyone have good sprites that I could have for a platformer?

Yes, I know how to animate sprites, and I do have good sprites for platform games. But you can't have them, unfortunately. They're mine.

As for animating/creating your own sprites: google it. Too many resources to list here.
Do you have a specific style and design software in mind? That would help pin it down more.
