Advance Shooter AI Engine:


Version 5.3.2 released! 10/25/16
-Cleaned up code, added comments to engine.
Tracking AI and Avoiding, Alternate routes is almost perfect now!

AI types have been separated into two Tracking, Distance AI.

Tracking AI

1. Loss of Sight.
*Will track the AI in a circular motion if the player is in range, until it sees the player.
2. Avoids objects and projectiles.
3. Player Detection / Line of Sight
4. Chase mode around walls


Distance AI

Distance AI, can spawn any where in the room with three options:
1.stay in place on spawn
2.create path, move to point on spawn
3.create path, move to player on spawn

Avoids objects and projectiles.
Line of Sight

-Easy to customize by simply changing numbers to your liking!​

W,A,S,D = Movement
Left Click= Fire
Q = Debug Grid

Hello, could you explain where this AI is advanced? For me all it seems to do is just detect if the player is within a radius, and if so, it gets alarmed even if he isn't seeing the player, which looks bad. The AI can look through walls...
Next thing, after the AI has a line of sight to the player all it does it follow him forever...

More examples are still being added. Ive been working on it this morning.

That's pretty clever with the tracking around walls! They can kinda tell where you might've gone by where you were going when they lost sight?

this reminds me of when I remade killzones AI system. It could flank, dodge weapons in the best preservative manner, take cover and run when damaged, and decide the best approach based on how many other AI were with it, what weapon coverage it had, and how exposed the player was all based on weighted scoring system given to path nodes. Too bad I lost it... honestly was probably one the best AI systems for GM and I didnt even give it a thought to share it ever... #regrets

My recommendation is to NOT use bandicam. It ruins the presentation of your work with a bad, (infamous?) watermark. I would recommend taking a look at Open broadcaster software (OBS). ;)

Thanks for the suggestion! Ill look into OBS.



This engine is lacking a few things, but I will continue to work on it and provide updates!
