Question - IDE Add sprite to object from tileset?

When adding a sprite to an object is it customary to just add it from a standalone sprite, or can you add the sprite from a tileset?

I see how to add a standalone sprite but adding from a tileset doesn't seem possible. What's the norm?

Thank you.

Use draw_sprite_part to draw the part of the tileset's sprite resource you want to a surface and then create a sprite from it using sprite_create_from_surface. Then set that new sprite to the object.
