uh so I have noticed that I have passwords saved for both https://account.yoyogames.com and https://accounts.yoyogames.com.

where one of them uses a different font on its page.
I might have also downloaded a gamemaker studio 2 installer that was modified from https://account.yoyogames.com.

can I get a yoyo games employee's opinion on this?

Go here https://accounts.yoyogames.com/login and request a password reset. Then you should be able to log in. I'll point this issue out to the Web guys tomorrow (that other link looks like one of our test pages...)

I'm no expert, but the site has that https in the address, so unless they have been hacked pretty bad, it's legit, maybe wrong, but legit(if you get what I mean).

account.yoyogames.com seems to share the session with accounts.yoyogames.com and by all means seems to be a mirror of the same site. The font does not display correctly because it's referencing the WOFF from accounts.yoyogames.com specifically (by complete URL) and cross-domain policy rules are configured strictly enough that a request cannot go from one YYG subdomain to another.
