Usually in these types of games when the player comes to a wall as in the lase screenshot, one of two things happen. Either the wall that is blocking the view of the player gets some transparency, or the camera tilts upwards to keep the player in view. Games which do neither are, to me, frustrating. Poor cameras can break an otherwise good game.

so how do you make the blocks transparent without turning everything transparent?
