3D 3d car 'mirror'

Hi,
I'm adding to my game 3d car interiors as shown in the attachment.
I'd love to add a working mirror there to let player know what's behind him.
My idea is to show it using surface which is projecting a second view. I don't know how to do that.
How can I asign a view from different angle to a second view?

umm... exactly like you said really... You just make another d3d_set_projection_ext and save its image to the surface. Be careful though, this decreases render performance by double per projection
