can someone point me in the direction of a super easy to follow tutorial on how to make a 2d rpg that uses sword and shields?

is it in top down perspective, isometric perspective or platformer perspective? that changes the game a lot

HeartBeast and Shaun Spalding have amazing YouTube tutorials.
The HeartBeast video already linked is great for starting an RPG and has a basic melee attack build in that can be changed to fit your needs.
It doesn't have shields, but it shouldn't be too hard to fit in.

i was wanting to make a platformer

then I advice following shaun spalding platformer tutorials on YouTube and work from there
