We’ve discovered a problem with yesterday’s 2.2.0 update, relating to texture groups and audio groups being reset to default when you open your project in 2.2.0. If you use source control, you can revert your project to an earlier version. If not, you will need to reset them manually. In both cases, we recommend that you also revert to 2.1.5, available for download from the top of the release notes page: http://gms.yoyogames.com/ReleaseNotes.html as your changes will be cleared when you re-open you project in 2.2.0.

Currently we have suspended updates to 2.2.0 while we fix the problem. We have a fix, which we are urgently implementing. We hope to have it ready later today. We’re truly very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.

Funny. You put a new version and then you ask people to come back to the older version because the new one is buggy. Why don't you use BETA versions then ? This is what it is for.

So is this why my whole project randomly wigged out and screwed up all of my rooms?

I have to say as someone who moaned at you guys about updates and fixes and was a bit of an a** etc this is great to see. Issue found, communicated to us guys and fixed rapidly, much kudos. Couldn't ask for anything more. Keep it up.

Except maybe a beta channel separate from stable like in GMS1.

Sorry, I agree with you - but this is one thing I genuinely think we could and should ask for.

Does this include a fix to the instance_create_layer() error in HTML5? It doesn't appear so. Although the bugfix page says it's fixed.

EDIT: nevermind. Just saw Dan's post here about another fix next week. So I rolled back to the previous GM version, along with the previous runtime version.
