    RPG tilebased movement

    I'm new to programming so im sure this is a stupid question but how do i make movement that changes by a tile exactly like its done in undertale/omori etc. So for an example i press down and it will just move a tile down and then stop BUT also has clean transitions inbetween so it doesnt just pop.
