 A room background problem

I set the Fire as the room background with 2 vspeed and 2 hspeed, but it cant work well. Just like using the surface without clear it before drawing the new sprite on it.
Is it a bug?or GMS2 have a requirement for computer ?

To ensure the view is cleared before rendering you need to ensure you have a background layer with just a plain colour (ie. no sprite) at the bottom of your layers list. When you create a new room you are given an instance layer and a background layer by default, instead of changing the sprite on the default background layer create a new background layer and set it up with the sprite instead.

Get it, thanks. The default background layer shouldn't be used for draw background sprite.

It can be it its an opaque image and covers the screen. After all, if your clear the screen then totally cover it again with a background, the clear is redundant.

Ok. I think it's a design for drawing an opaque sprite with full screen as background, so it's Unnecessary to clear it.
