In Game Maker 7.0 Pro how do I change one color to another for instance?

In GML (Game Maker Language) in Game Maker 7.0 Pro how do I make it to where an instance of an object's one sprite color gets changed?


^ For example for instance id 0000017's color 77777F gets changed to 88888F or from c_red to c_green

You don't. Draw those specific portions of the sprite as a separate sprite with its own color blending.
