Android Google Play Licensing official extension--how often does it check?

Does anyone know how often the YYG Google Play Licensing extension checks for a license? Once? Daily? Monthly? Native Android allows a lot of flexibility in checking for the license and handling responses, so you could, for example, check once, set a locally stored token, and never check again. I can't find any docs that explain how the official extension handles this, though.

I know @Andrey and other heroes have looked under the hood and provided hacks for the extension, so I thought someone might know.

I understand so that if there is no license, the extension hollows requests to the server again and again checking. If the license was confirmed on the server earlier, then at startup, the extension refers to the record stored on the device.
