Will deactivating objects optimize the game?

Hey, GameMaker's.

If I deactivate objects somewhere, for example. outside the view, will it be counted as optimizing the game?

I would not want to be a developer who has not paid enough attention to optimizing the game: as a result, the game may be demanding of resources.

Yes. But be wary that deactivating / reactivating objects is a little slow, so you don't want to do every frame. You might want to do it once a second, and you might want to only do it when the camera is moving.

Yes, especially if you have taxing code in your main loop.
