Hi, everyone! You can call me Jerry, and I'm from northeastern US. I have a year or two of on and off experience with GMS/GMS2, and haven't really made any fully fledged games myself, just some demos/prototypes here and there.

I decided to go ahead and join the forums for a couple of reasons: in the hopes of learning from more experienced developers, having a place to receive critical feedback of my work, and simply to become part of a community.

My key skill is programming and my anti-skill is art, although I make do with what I have. In terms of game design, I haven't had much opportunity to implement such techniques, but I do believe I have a good grasp of fundamental game design principles.

I do view the gaming medium as a powerful art-form, and I wish to create games that are intricately designed, mechanically unique, and thought-provoking in its content. Too bad I can't do that yet... :p

That's pretty much it for me. I hope to see you around the forums! :)

Any cool games you've made: I'm working on a simple brick breaker game right now to get back into the feel of making games called Raging DinoBreak, but I have dabbled before in trying to make Pokemon-ish games, RPGs, and platformers. Unsuccessfully. One time I made a game called Pokemon Lava version and uploaded it to a site and got lots and lots of bad reviews because it was so bad, so that's a thing.

Hi, I love making pixel art and have always had a keen desire to construct a video game using my own pixel and make my way in the world doing so. I've been making art for as long as I can rememeber, and I like to think that I have a decent amount of experience in the field. My passion is really retro looking games, because I love the simplistic look and feel and sound of games like that and they're what I grew up on. Any cool games you've made: ah haaa, I think one was called Green Gardens (garden sim) and Whirl-pool (underwater billiards game) and many many projects that never came to fruition. That was many moons ago...

I have been trying to make the standard windows executable but the compiler fails to make the application. I have made an executable of this game before, but I am now finished with the game and want to export the latest version. I have changed file names and locations. I do not know what else to do. I am 31 complete enthusiast of GM from Bulgaria (eastern Europe). I have been toying with GM since 8.0 back in the day simply for my own pleasure. I haven't completed any projects. Yet. Honestly I don't expect to. I still just use the GM Studio just for pleasure and to keep my skills sharp.
Other than that I am heavy hardware enthusiast, amateur YouTuber, lover of quality food, coffee and drinks. That's why I'm fat :D
Currently working on crazy ambitious pet project: a world sandbox, where you are a king and rely on your Knights, priests, spies, etc to do what you tell them to do.

Just thought I'd introduce myself since I just purchased GMS2. I did so with the intent of getting back into developing games using a program that I havn't used for about a decade, back when Mark Overmars released GM 6 on gamemaker.nl

Apart from game development I also have an interest in web development and have dedicated much of my time to creating Web database applications in PHP/MySQL. The only interest I have away from the computer is getting stupidly drunk :)

BloodyHeartland here, named for a character from one of my favorite games. Underdogs like Suda51, Yoko Taro, and especially Swery for being so down to earth and taking the time to follow fans, all have inspired me to try and create my own games and tell my own stories for others to grasp their own meanings from. Had spent some time with GM5 and later 8 but it was only ever just a hobby, and now at 26 just doing part time maintenance work, my dreams of working on games had been gone, but more recently I've found my second wind. Not banking on being successful, but I figure that it will be worth it if at least someone can enjoy my work.

I'm a (GML) programmer and I've released some games at the old game maker forum (Sandbox no loger exists :().
