Random Thoughts and Ideas (PT3!)

Someone needs to invent this, my idea is based off the construction of the blackest material ever made, it is manufactured fron carbon nano tubes in a flat material with the tubes slightly angled and 'bumpy' on the inside to capture photons of light untill they transfer all their energy and 'die', BUT what if on the underside of the bumps and in the bottom were a layer of solar cells?
I would think solar pannels made in this way would near 100% efficiancy as compared
to what, like 13-30% current efficiancy in current technology? It could probably work!

I'm not really into trance but this is quite nicely produced.
Much appreciated. I wouldn't even classify it as "traditional trance" if not because of the relatively higher BPM and tonally pronounced bass. Perhaps "energetic semi-dark trance" would make the shoe fit, but I'm terrible with genre identification, in any case.

Found this pic online. There's something weird about this guy's backpack, but I'm not sure what. It just seems off somehow.

Wow, much gluten. So soft.
PSA: The doge meme has been dank for over a year, and is as such dead.
Please refrain from using it again.

Also, wow, this thread is so not the former glory the original thread on the last GMC was.

Why am I even back here? I'm leaving the forum again. L0l
EDIT: Two complaints.

1:
This is a topic for random thoughts and ideas, things that are too small to warrant a topic of their own, but not quite small enough to warrant a post... Oh who am I kidding, ideas too small to warrant posting still go here anyway.
"Not quite small enough to warrant a post" is a nonsense idea. You meant to say "too large for a post itself to be enough" for that train of thought to at all be justified, but that's clearly not the spirit of this topic nor has it ever been. In fact, thoughts that would be routinely too small for even the most baseless of IMs make in in here. "ideas too small to warrant posting still go here anyway" is the only true part about this. Only true part. So negative 5 points for a šŸ’©šŸ’©šŸ’©šŸ’©ty first paragraph for the description of this post.

2:
Post whatever you feel here. It can be dumb, it can be thoughtful, it can be nuanced, short, or long, a continuation of a discussion from somewhere else in the forum or an argument about harry potter. Forum rules obviously still apply, so no personal attacks / porn / critiquing Nocturne's beard. I repeat, the beard is off limits.
"A continuation of a discussion from somewhere else in the forum"
Please provide an example of how that'd at all be justified in literally any circumstance possibly imaginable within the confines of this forum.
Typically when someone's discussing something in a topic, you keep it to the confines of that topic, otherwise you're just adding confusion and being an idiot--the person you're replying to would probably just continue using that topic and not even notice that you somehow brought it over here. And in the case of a topic being closed, well if it's closed then it wasn't worth discussing in the first place (Because mods are infallible, so,) so it'd just be ridiculous to continue it here, and fly in the face of said mod decision. -5 points.

Unfortunately you lost 10 points on an "out of ten" scale so makerofthegames aka ToNi here must rate this third iteration a 0/10.

Seriously? A loaf of šŸ’©šŸ’©šŸ’©šŸ’©ing bread? Just a giant image for a post? Worthless.

I do not regret leaving this forum in the slightest. Not even to 0.00001% of a unit of caring (CareUnitā„¢?) do I care that I left and have nothing left to gain from being here.

Thanks.

EDIT2: BTW I'm drunk. Incase that wasn't obvious.

You must be fun at parties
The only disappointment is that simple stupid threads will get relegated here to an ancient thread nobody reads and that's just no fun

There was once a god. Its power was so great it could create or destroy entire universes with just a thought.

It was as vast as existence itself.

And it was older than time.

It had always been.

And it seemed like it would always be.

It would persist until the end of time.

Or even outlive time itself.

It was beyond comprehension even to other gods.

It was greater than anything that ever was.

And it was greater than anything that ever could be.

Or at least so it seemed.

But on a small island on a tiny planet in a miniature solar system in a microscopic galaxy in a nearly nonexistent universe, a new creature was born.

It was a being that would one day become much more than even this god.

And if the god were a tiny little bacteria, an unimportant germ...

This being would be nothing less than a supermassive black hole.

No words can adequately describe it.

No words but its name.

I was trying to look at pictures of Will Smith's fish "Oscar" from Shark Tale and my computer nearly got a virus.

It's midnight and I need to wake up at 6 AM. What am I doing with my life?

I have the perfect idea for colonizing mars, bring the 'industrial revolution' to Mars and practice wind / solar / natural power here on earth, and back on Mars build cities while filling the air with carbon, it will be inhospitable for awhile but eventually oxygen emitting organisms will develop and start the atmosphere creation and then redirect a water - ice asteroids to the lowest areas on the planet. To re-energize the magnetosphere we need to drill to the iron core in select places around the planet's equator, fill the holes with iron (just leave the drillbits in the holes, cheap and one step process) and then connect nice queen ann sized diesel powered generators to cycle + / - power at 60hz around the planet, that should do the trick.

Random thought of the day :

Thereā€™s Pokemon Red, Yellow, (Leaf) Green, & Blue, but there is no Pokemon Orange or Pokemon Violet. Anyone know why?

So the faster than light travel thing, people are proposing that by bending space time around a ship (contracting it in the front and expanding it in the back) to travel at or above the speed of light in theory could work, but it's stated that you'd need an unimaginable and unobtainable amount of power to do it, so I was thinking of a not so far fetched idea to travel at light speed. The spiral slingshot method might do it, I just did some calculations and found that (altho it would be ridiculously hard to do) that if you tethered a spaceship to the surface of the sun with some kind of force field, (one that doesn't come on full force all at once or you and the ship would be immediately destroyed) the sun's spinning speed would eventually catapult you to the speed of light if you reeled yourself away from earth while tethered. THE MATHS: sun's circumference- 2,713,406 miles, the sun spins once every 25 days (600 hours) so divide the circumference by 600 and you get 4,522+ miles per hour at the equator, earth is 93,000,000 miles from the sun so multiply that by 2 and then Pi to get the circumference, then divide that by 600 and you get 973,894 miles per hour (if you were tethered to the surface of the sun) so divide that by the speed of light and you are going 1.6 hundredths of the speed of light already at earth's distance from the sun, with that info you would need to be tethered to the sun's surface from 160 AU (93,000,000 x 160) miles from the sun, which in contrast would be just outside the kuiper belt. That's a long way out, but if you started at earth and 'reeled' yourself outward your speed would increase exponentially.
I know it sounds far fetched, but it would be much easier than the currently proposed way, and considering they are actually trying to build a space elevator I think it could be a few steps in complications above that :)

Divide by zero explained:
There's a pizza in front of you, you decide to divide it by 0. what happens? no one gets the pizza, no one.
and that's not possible, therefore, you cannot divide by zero.

Checking the posts on this page of the topic makes me lose faith in humanity a little bit.

Lately, I've been reporting spam threads more than actually posting on the forums.

We all have a skeleton inside our bodies. Normally, you can only see part of it sticking out: your teeth.

Also, I like this album nonironically: (warning: contains a bunch of swearing and stuff)

The difficulty of the job is determined by the intelligence of the customer. If a seemingly smart employee looks confused, you're an idiot. But idiots can't percieve intelligence, so the employee won't seem smart anyway, meaning idiots blissfully think they are smarter than everyone else. Dunning Krueger.

Why am I paying for something that loses meaning on myself? Maybe I have fulfilled all my irl tasks, yet, I try to keep myself busy, for something that doesn't really need my attention.

I keep finding bugs everytime I play, hope they went ignored.
Can't rush my game builds either, or I'm going to make a mess.

On another note, I'm glad I can help people close to me.

You're all cool in my book, but we all need reminders sometimes. I've said way worse than any of the light stuff in this thread, so no judgment from me, just friendly prodding. We can all do better!

Thanks for tidying the thread! =)
