Windows When building my game is done the game window opens and closes immediately - Both VM & YYC.

My UI.log is below. I've tried googling but have found no solution.

More info. I fresh installed windows 10. Installed VS Stusio 2019 community. Installed all the neccessary addons. The path to vsvars32 is correct.

Installed VS Stusio 2019 community
Recommended SDK is VS2017 (or even VS 2015). 2019 is not supported at all currently, so that's something you might want to fix before going any further.

I'll try that, Nocturne. I didn't think to try that as I've always been using VS2019 and had no problems with it. It's only started after a fresh format of Windows 10. I'll post back in a bit once I've got VS2017 running.

It happens with all of them. Here's something though. Whatever is causing it, it only happens to existing projects I had before reinstalling Windows 10.

I started a new project in GMS2, set the sdk as I always had pointing to VS2019, then tried running it. It worked without error. To test again, I opened up one of my other projects, again, these were before I formatted and reinstalled windows and they refused to work, once starting up they would shut down immediately.

I'm going to examine the projects to see if there is anything in the project folder that could cause this. I'll post back in a minute.

[edit] There's nothing really in the project folder that I could understand other than the options_windows_yy has different setting from the previous install of GMS2. I have no idea if that would cause a conflict.

[edit2] I've resigned to fact that I won't get this fixed for previous projects. This is going to sting me hard. 5 games 99.9% completed and now they are not working. Gutted hard. Oh well!

[edit3] This has now crippled any chance of me uploading to the publisher.

Ah man this sounds like such an annoying situation.

Writing off 5 entire projects that are nearly completed is very serious. Are you sure that's the only solution here? Have you tried manually importing each resource into a new project until it breaks? Alternatively you could use this.

Do you have any backups? (I'm sure you've thought of this already but just in case).

Did you try rolling back to an older version of game maker?

I've tried it all. Anything, even project backups, would refuse to work.
