@RefresherTowel
I get that you might be annoyed by the regularity of how much it's asked, and also maybe by what you consider to be (how can I put this kindly towards the OP) a little..foolish.
But.....
They haven't used the engine, and therefore don't know, and therefore.....need to ask. You didn't say anything rude, but I know if I was asking the question I'd prefer an answer that actually, uh, answered it. It's the kind of response that might put people off investigating the engine / community further, and could be a bit more considerate / welcoming. If it annoys you so much, then why even answer it in the first place?
@Niels
I liked your response (obviously), and I like GMS, but I have to say that if people have "pushed it to it's limits" then...it is limited, very limited. I can't think of a single GMS game that was impressive compared to say "Ori and the blind forest", and that's either the limitations of the engine, or the fact that every developer gimps their games to run on potatoes so everyone can play them. Whichever way I consider it there has been no game that wowed me on an artistic level from GMS (Deaths Gambit comes closest for me, but is still rather "pixelly"), no matter how "great" it was technically for the engine itself.
